Tetra, the leading fish food and treatments supplier in the UK, has launched a new, complete range of planting products under the TetraPlant brand. The new range offers advanced, high quality plant food and equipment, from a tried and trusted player in the aquatic arena.
Utilising Tetra’s expertise and innovative technology, the TetraPlant range offers everything required to optimize the appeal and health of a planted aquarium, from planting materials, to plant food and specialised packages to improve CO2 levels in aquariums.

Available in two sizes, 100ml and 250ml, TetraPlant PlantaMin is a nitrate and phosphate free liquid plant food that contains all the necessary iron, trace elements and potassium vital for healthy growth. Its liquid format makes it easy to apply at each partial water change or every four weeks.
• TetraPlant Complete Substrate
Available in 2.8kg or 5.8kg sizes, TetraPlant Complete Substrate consists of sand and black peat full of useful humic substances that help plants maintain a healthy look. Its optimum grain size enables perfect root development and nutrients to release with ease. Its ready to use format offers an effective long-term fertilizer that is free of nitrates and phosphates.
• TetraPlant CO2 Optimat and Depot
Efficiency to enrich water with CO2 is crucial to any healthy planted aquarium, the new TetraPlant CO2 Optimat unit will supply sufficient CO2 for a 100litre tank. Its ease of use and maintenance is paramount and refills are easy to install and obtain and very competitive prices.
• TetraPlant Crypto
TetraPlant Crypto enables fishkeepers to offer their planted media a tablet plant food that contains iron plus all essential trace elements. It is in a complex bound form that gives long release times and supports the production of substrate organisms.
